THE PIG's English Wine Case

Loving local is in our DNA and, when it comes to wine, we love nothing more than fruit from our own soil! We are deeply committed to championing local vineyards and the passionate and inspiring winemakers on our doorsteps.

Wine is never an afterthought at THE PIGs, and we believe English wine really is something special. So, we’ve carefully curated a showstopping case of six bottles that you won’t be able to get anywhere else – and we have a very limited run of just 25 of these cases.

Sip on a special selection of our favourite English reds, whites and sparklers chosen by THE PIG Sommelier Team. Inside each case, you’ll also find some festive piggy pairing suggestions straight from our kitchens as well as two fantastic recipes to try at home from our Head Chef Andy Wright.

What are we drinking?

Sparkling - Sugrue - The Trouble with Dreams, Sussex
A remarkable sparkling wine that creates a compelling complexity of “lemon meringue pie”; light and delicious!

Sparkling - Sugrue - Ex Machina, Sussex
In essence, strawberries and cream take the limelight with this sparkling wine – you could say it’s Wimbledon in a glass.

Sparkling - Bee Tree - PIG Reserve, Sussex
Matured for 3½ years on lees, our PIG English fizz finds a genuine complexity reminiscent of sourdough, baked tangerine and ginger. It’s Christmas in a glass!

Still - Penn Croft - Bacchus, Hampshire
England’s competitor to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Its aromatic qualities of gooseberry, elderflower and white peach help cleanse through rich creamy dishes.

Still - Simpsons - Gravel Castle Chardonnay, Kent
A crisp, clean and elegant wine with zesty citrus notes of orange blossom and fresh green apple.  

Still – Hush Heath – Luke’s Pinot Noir, Kent
Filled with delicate notes of cherries, raspberries and spicy vanilla. We recommend serving this wine slightly chilled to enhance the fresh fruit flavours of the wine.

Includes a mixed case of six (three sparklers, two whites and one red) English wines, each with recommended pairings, plus two PIG recipes from our Head Chef Andy Wright.
